Our lives are meaningful and unfold according to the deep wisdom that resides within us. We are orchestrated, like the trees, to grow, nourish, blossom, fruit, and shed what no longer serves. The characters in my collages and paintings are resonating with these cycles of nature as they express their courage in exploring and engaging with their interior and exterior worlds.
As I put down layer upon layer for each collage with papers from around the world, I am listening to my soul’s wisdom to fully understand each character, to see her challenges, her strengths and the messages she has to learn. I am honored to share their stories with you.
As an artist, I am fascinated by the unknown world within each person and animal. As I paint or make a collage of them, I am exquisitely aware of the beauty, delight and mystery of the inner world in each of my subjects, as well as the outer world where their being finds expression through their thoughts and actions.
I feel privileged to make art in admiration of the integrity of my subjects’ lives , the rhythms of their souls and their resonance with the cycles of life around them.
By looking at my artwork, I hope you are inspired to rest in your own soul’s unique and penetrating beauty.
