Our lives are meaningful and unfold according to the deep wisdom that resides within us. The characters in my collages are resonating with cycles of nature as they express their courage in exploring the world as they encounter boundaries and find their way through life’s challenges.
As I create layer upon layer for each collage with papers from around the world, I am listening to my soul’s wisdom to fully understand each figure, to see her challenges, her strengths and the messages she has learned and wants to share.
I hope that listening to my soul’s wisdom in the creation of these collages resonates with your soul’s wisdom and your courage in living with grace through these tumultuous times.
Books
These books were inspired by my grandchildren and the hundreds of children I taught drama to for over thirty years. I wanted to make my art accessible to them, to have it in a form so that they could see themselves and envision new possibilities for their lives through the images in “When I Was 8” and by answering the questions in “Please Help Me Understand.”

The cards in this deck are based on 48 original collages that came to me in my small, ocean town while listening to the forever waves through the whispering, talking and singing of my soul.
The Healing Wisdom Oracle Cards offer practices you can use to meet the challenges you are facing, to find the tools and anchors you can use to meet these challenges, and to contribute to others with your unique gifts.
Paintings
Whether I am painting from innocence of the child part of myself or from my adult artist part, I am trying to capture the essence of the figure in front of me or of the image in my imagination. . As I am grounding into the present moment and feeling deeply into my emotional responses , I transfer them from my mind and heart onto canvas.

I feel blessed to be able to translate my visions, dreams and emotions into visual form. This photo is from the little town that I visit every winter since I retired from being an elementary school drama teacher. It is a place full of nature, beauty, possibility and community.
In the seasonal magic of being in Mexico while it is winter in Chicago , I have the time, energy and support to create and share my art. The idea for the Soul Wisdom Cards originated in this coastal town and the digital conversion of my collages into cards came into being there.
