Our inner life, the intimacy of our soul, longs to find expression in the visible world. Our souls desire to be seen, felt and touched. Our bodies are the mirrors where the secret world of our souls come to their full expression. They are our homes, our places of belonging in the world. The soul writes the story of our lives on our faces.

Like us, animals are embodied and share in the great range and intensity of presence.

As an artist, I am fascinated by the unknown world within each person and animal. As I paint or make a collage of them, I am exquisitely aware of the beauty, delight and mystery of the inner world in each of my subjects, as well as the outer world where their being finds expression through their thoughts and actions.

I feel privileged to make art in admiration of the beauty of my subjects’ lives and the rhythms of their souls. By looking at my artwork, I hope you are inspired to rest in your own soul’s unique and penetrating beauty.
